Scammers use warning signs you can learn to spot:
- 🚩 It says you've won something you didn't enter
- 🚩 It creates urgency — "Act NOW!"
- 🚩 The sender is someone you don't know
- 🚩 It asks you to click a link or share personal info

Staying safe online is one of the most important skills you can develop. Every time you use the internet — whether browsing websites, chatting with friends, or playing games — you leave a digital footprint. Understanding how to protect yourself helps you enjoy the online world with confidence.
Personal information includes things like your full name, address, school, phone number, and passwords. You should never share these details with strangers online, even if they seem friendly. Always check with a trusted adult before giving out any personal information.
Strong passwords are your first line of defence. A good password is at least 8 characters long and includes a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Avoid using obvious words like your name or "password123." Try using a passphrase — a short sentence that's easy for you to remember but hard for others to guess.
Phishing and scams are tricks used by bad actors to steal your information. They might send emails or messages that look like they're from a real company, asking you to click a link or enter your details. Always look for warning signs: misspellings, urgent language, and unfamiliar sender addresses.
Remember: if something feels wrong or too good to be true, trust your instincts and talk to a trusted adult. Being cautious online isn't being scared — it's being smart! 🛡️
